Overview
Named symbolically after an ornamental flowering tree, Magnolia follows a middle-aged literature professor over the course of a late summer afternoon. Torn between the past and a present in which she has not yet found a place for herself, she has been leading a stagnant life overburdened with everyday work. A single phone-call proves enough to interrupt her vegetative state - opening up a world of memories that disconcert and haunt her.
